Annual Report

The 2024-2025 Annual Report for the College of Engineering at WSU is a 36-page print publication. It features a two-page spread highlighting the college's most impressive data; articles on its first-year student experience, the Wichita State Engineering 5K and three faculty researchers; and four student spotlights, each paired with QR-code video links.

I wrote and organized all of the content, planned multiple photoshoots, partnered with internal colleagues for photography, repurposed previous design layouts created by a freelance graphic designer, and created new layouts of my own.

Email Campaign

Annual Report

In addition to the print edition, I developed a digital version of the 2024–2025 Annual Report for the College of Engineering at WSU.

Using the Mailchimp platform, I designed and built a custom email campaign that highlights key sections of the report. The email includes direct links to the full publication on Issuu, along with related press releases, news stories, and student spotlight videos to encourage deeper engagement.

Analytics
  • Achieved a nearly 50% open rate

  • Generated a click-through rate exceeding 10%, with the majority of clicks leading directly to the full report

Website Project

Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering

In February 2026, I completed a comprehensive website overhaul for the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering within the College of Engineering at WSU. The project focused on improving usability, modernizing design, and enhancing overall site performance.

Key contributions included reorganizing site architecture, refining navigation and menu structures, removing outdated content and implementing redirects, and redesigning page layouts with updated photography and video. I also developed new page templates and implemented SEO best practices to improve visibility and user engagement.

Press Release

Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day

As part of efforts to promote a Spring 2025 event for the College of Engineering at WSU, I wrote a press release about Introduce a Girl to Engineering Day (IGED) that was published on the WSU website April 14, 2025. The event was highly successful, drawing 165 registrants and nearly 90 professional volunteers. The story also gained external media coverage, with KSN News featuring the event both on-air and on their website, extending its reach to a broader audience.

Social Media Campaign

Wallace Scholar Features

In February 2026, the College of Engineering at WSU announced a new cohort of high school seniors selected for the Wallace Scholar program. To expand beyond a standard press release and general social media announcement, I developed and executed a targeted social media campaign highlighting each of the 10 scholars individually.

The campaign was designed to maximize reach and engagement by tagging affiliated schools, organizations and partners across posts. I wrote all social media captions, produced and edited visual assets for each student feature, and directed a student assistant in creating the initial announcement graphic to ensure consistency and quality across the campaign.
